Developer and scope
YAJI is developed and operated by 隆阳区藻峙软件开发工作室, its legal name in Chinese. This policy explains how the app handles information. The current version requires no registration and provides no YAJI account or account-based cross-device sync.
Data processed on your device
YAJI stores on your device the orthodontic record photos you create (which may include facial or intraoral images), record dates, capture views, tags, notes, appointment dates and check-ins, the landmark points and degree values of angle measurements, a name or alias entered in reports, generated visit-summary PDFs, and preferences such as treatment type, aligner number, and reminder times.
No transfer to YAJI servers
The current version does not connect to a YAJI server or transmit these records to the developer. It contains no advertising, third-party analytics, cross-app tracking, or profiling services.
Local storage and protection
The database, photos, and reports are stored in the app’s private space. Photos and PDFs use system file protection and are marked for exclusion from YAJI app-data backups. Protect your device and exported copies.
iCloud, computer backups, and Photos
YAJI does not use CloudKit or iCloud Drive for in-app cross-device sync. Photos and generated PDFs are excluded from app-data backup, while structured data such as dates, tags, notes, appointments, degree values, and preferences may enter an iCloud device backup or computer backup under your system settings. The developer cannot access those backups. Copies saved to Photos may sync through iCloud Photos.
System permissions
Camera access supports guided capture. Photos access is used when you choose to save a record to the photo library: full access is used only to create and maintain the dedicated “牙记 YAJI” album and file photos into it, and YAJI does not read or analyze other photos in your library. If you grant add-only access or decline full access, photos still save normally—they simply are not filed into that album. Notifications are used for the local record and appointment reminders you set. Denying these permissions does not prevent viewing existing records.
Album filing and photo watermarks
When you save or share a photo, YAJI composites the YAJI mark, that record’s date, and—in aligner mode—the aligner number onto the copy on your device; the original photo inside the app is never altered. “Save to Photos automatically” is off by default. When enabled, each record’s photos are additionally copied into the “牙记 YAJI” album and sync to iCloud Photos according to your system settings.
Timelapse videos and angle measurement
A timelapse is rendered on your device from same-view photos, and every frame carries the YAJI mark and that frame’s record date. The video is written to the app’s temporary directory first and leaves YAJI only when you save it to Photos or share it; unsaved temporary files are cleaned up by the system. Angle measurement stores only the three landmark points you place and the degree value computed from them—it does not recognize or analyze photo content.
Sharing, export, and third parties
Visit-summary PDFs, exported photos, and timelapse videos are all generated on-device. Selected content is handed to a system feature or third-party app only when you choose to share, export, or save it. Recipients process it under their own terms; confirm that the recipient and channel are trustworthy before sharing health photos or reports.
Feedback and support email
Only after you confirm sending may the feedback category, app version, message, and optional contact details be sent through an email or sharing service and received by the developer. We use this information only to reply, troubleshoot, improve the product, or handle safety and privacy requests, and delete it when no longer needed unless law requires otherwise.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you delete a record, clear all records, or delete the app. Clearing removes every record, photo, tag, note, appointment date, angle measurement, and local report, and cancels local reminders. Copies saved to Photos, exported, shared, or retained in a device backup are not automatically removed by in-app deletion and must be deleted where they are stored.
Children and photos of others
Minors should use YAJI with a guardian’s knowledge and consent. Do not record, store, or share another person’s facial or intraoral images without permission.
Medical-use boundary
YAJI is not a medical device and does not replace examination, diagnosis, or treatment. Lighting, angle, distance, and lens distortion affect photos; they must not be treated as medical measurements. Angle measurement is an image-annotation and geometry tool subject to the same limits, plus posture and landmark choice. YAJI publishes no normal ranges and does not judge whether a reading is abnormal.
Policy changes and contact
If our data practices materially change, we will update this policy, its effective date, and the public web version. Where the in-app and web versions differ, the one with the later effective date prevails. For privacy questions or requests concerning support-email data, contact privacy@yajitool.com.
